IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
to prevent the risk of fire, electric shock, burns, or other injuries or damages.
• Read all instructions before use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord,
plug, or the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning.
• Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free
customer assistance number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors or in a damp area.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including
stove.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Check that control is turned to O (OFF) before plugging cord into wall outlet. To
disconnect the appliance, turn control to O (OFF); then remove plug from the wall
outlet.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• Remove the accessories from mixer before washing.
• Do not continuously use the mixer for longer than 5 minutes at one time.
• Do not fill the mixing container more than 90% of its capacity.
• When mixing liquids, use a tall container or mix small quantities at a time to reduce
spillage.
• Do not mix hot ingredients.
• Never add ingredients to container while appliance is operating.
• The whisk should be used without any other attachment.
• Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils, away from beaters
during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons and/or damage to the mixer.
• Avoid contacting moving parts.
