The obligations of the operator of the access control system include:
• Keeping the operating instructions permanently available to installation and
operating personnel.
• Providing proper instructions on how to handle the product, also for persons who
do not have access to the operating instructions (such as hotel guests or patients)
• Storing the programming and clearing keys in a safe place in order to prevent
misuse.
• Passing on the operating instructions, e.g. in the event of a change of operator.
Installation and start-up personnel
Installation and initial start-up may only be carried out by experts who have
knowledge in the following areas:
• National accident prevention regulations
• National fire safety regulations
• Specialist electro-technical knowledge
• VDE regulations
Operating personnel (personnel with locking authorisations)
The operating personnel must be notified of the following:
• Safe and proper handling of the product.
• Responsible use of locking authorisation to rooms occupied by other persons.
• Cleaning work on the product.
The product is an electronic access control system for use in hotels, hospitals and
office buildings.
Areas of application:
• Indoors and outdoors.
• On doors that comply with the specified installation requirements
(see chapter 4.1).
• On doors with panic locks, if these comply with standards DIN EN 179 and
DIN EN 1125.
• On fire protection doors T30 and T90, depending on the version (see certificates
at www.haefele.de).
All of the operating, servicing and maintenance conditions prescribed by the
manufacturer must be complied with.
Pay attention to the approval of the lock manufacturer.
If you are uncertain whether the access control system is suitable for the required
door system, contact the manufacturer (see reverse for contact address)
Any use not mentioned in chapter 2.1 is considered to be improper. It is particularly
important to avoid the following:
• Use in explosive environments.
• Use in corrosive / aggressive environments (chlorine, ammonia, lime water).
• Use in rooms where large amounts of dust are present.
• Use in close proximity to heat sources.
• Use in the proximity of electromagnetically sensitive devices.
• Use of defective or damaged components.
• Use of non-original parts.
