3 | WEIGH
Put the appliance on a flat and stable surface. Place the
bowl on the scale and switch the scale on by touching the
ON/OFF/TARE key. the entire display will light up.
wait about 2 seconds untill «0 g» appears on the display.
the kitchen scale is now ready for weighing.
Place the item to be weighted directly on the scale. the
weight there of is displayed immediately.
to select a different measurement unit press the UNIT key
to change it accordingly to: g = grams, lb = pounds, ml =
milliliter, fl.oz = fluid ounces.
the scale can accept a maximum load of 5000 grams or
5000 milliliters. the weight measurement is displayed in 1
g divisions. and the scale has a 'tara' adding function.
Remove the overweight when «EEEE» appears in the
display. NOTE: the total weight placed on the scale can
not be more than 5000 grams.
4 | ADDING FUNCTIoN
with the adding function you can reset the display to
«0 g» after placing a product. this allows you to weigh in
a bowl. do as follows:
1. Place an empty bowl on the scale.
2. Press the scale on with the ON/OFF/TARE key and
wait till «0 g» appears on the display.
3. Place the first product you wish to weigh in the bowl.
4. Read the weight shown on the display.
5. after weighing, press the ON/OFF/TARE key to
reset the scale to «0 g» and you can add the next
ingredient.
by repeating step 3, 4 and 5 you can weigh multiple
ingredients (e.g. baking ingredients).
NOTE: «EEEE» appears in the display if more than 5000
gram in total is placed on the scale.
5 | bATTERIES
if the kitchenscale is left unused for longer than approx. 60
seconds, it automatically switches itself off. You can also
turn the scale off manually by touching the key ON/OFF/
TARE for about 2 seconds.
when the Lo symbol appears in the display, the batteries
needs to be replaced. Open the batterie compartment
at the bottom of the scale. if necessary please use a
small screwdriver to remove the batteries. Make sure the
batteries are placed correct (= and - polarity) and close
the lid.
NOTE: spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not
constitute normal household waste! they are considered
to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in
special containers, toxic waste collection points or brought
to electrical goods dealers.
Remark: batteries containing pollutant substances are
marked as follows: Pb = battery contains lead, cd = battery
contains cadmium, hg = battery contains mercury.
6 | CLEANING & mAINTENANCE
wipe the kitchenscale only with a damp cloth. clean the
bowl with warm water and some detergent.
Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids.
handle the scale with care, protect the scale from impact
with hard object and do not drop it.
