1 Battery installation
• Remove the battery compartment cover as shown in the following picture.
• Insert the batteries with the correct polarity according to the information in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment cover.
Caution
• Please do not mix new and old batteries.
• Use only alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
• Please replace the batteries when the battery symbol flashes continuously and is shown in the display.
• Please remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the device for a long period of time.
• Empty batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. T ake care of the environment and take the batteries to the collection points provided in accordance with
national or local regulations.
Operating the device
Switching on and off
Press the key
to switch on the device with the standard reference setting, in the single measurement mode and with the metric system of units.
Briefly press the key
again. The laser is now activated and the device is ready for measurement. The battery level indicator and the laser reflection signal intensity
indicator are displayed as shown in the figure below.
Press and hold the key
to switch off the device. The laser will switch off automatically after 30 seconds and the device will switch off after 3 minutes of inactivity.
Changing the measurement reference
The default setting for the measurement is the rear edge of the measuring instrument. T o change the measurement reference, briefly press the key
when
switching on the measuring device.
Display brightness
Hold down the key
to increase the brightness of the display. The display automatically switches to energy-saving mode after approximately 5 seconds.
Clear key
Briefly press the key
to clear the last command or the displayed data
Unit - switch
The standard unit of the measuring instrument is metres. Press and hold the key
to switch over the unit of measure.
