Safety Instructions
1.1
General
•
Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.
The user manual is part of the product and contains important
information for correct use.
•
Keep this user manual.
The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the
product.
Risk of electric shock:
•
Do not open the housing.
•
Do not modify product and accessories.
•
Do not short connectors and circuits.
•
Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect
condition.
A defective device may not be put into operation, but must be disconnec-
ted from mains and protected against further use.
•
In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and
other problems, non-recoverable by the documentation, contact
your dealer or producer.
Not meant for children. The product is not a toy!
•
Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against acciden tal
use.
•
Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight,
microwaves, vibrations and mechanical pressure.
Heat storage:
•
Do not cover the product.
•
Keep enough space around all devices for a good ventlation and
free motion and to avoid damages.
When using an optional power supply / supply isolation:
•
Mind placing cables in a way, nobody will be disabled and the
cable not be damaged.
•
Avoid mechanical stress such as pressure, buckling, stretching, etc.
•
Never use the device with defective main cable!
•
Disconnect the multiswitch immediately from mains cable when
contacted with moisture (e. g. splash, spilled drink, etc.)
The product has no power switch and may be used only in easily accessi-
ble outlets to remove it quickly in an emergency, in a storm and after use.
Voltage:
•
Operate the HDMI™ switch box with the mains voltage specified
on the housing only!
1.2
Battery hazards
The battery from the remote control is replaceable.
•
Never use batteries when they are dented, leaked or damaged.
•
Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries from the product
and dispose them by appropriate protectives.
•
If a battery has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. If necessary, rinse affected areas with water and seak
medical attention immediately.
•
Do not deform, burn or disassemble the battery and nover pierce it
with a sharp object.
Extreme heat may cause explosion and/or leaking of corrosive liquid.
Mechanical damage can result in gaseous substances which can be
highly irritating, combustible or toxic.
•
Do not short-circuit the battery or immerse it in liquids.
There is a risk of explosion, fire, heat, fumes or gas emission.
•
Immediately remove the battery out of the water when it has been
fallen into by accident. Place it in a safe, open area, and keep
away until completely dry. Do not use the dried battery again, but
dispose it as described in chapter 8 "Disposal Notes".

Intended Use
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in
chapter Description and Function. Use the product only in dry interior
rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions might
cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.

Connecting and Operating
CAUTION!

Mind placing cables in a way, nobody will be disabled and the
cable not be damaged.

Install the system and devices attached to it in a way that persons
cannot be injured, or objects not be damaged for example by drop-
ping or stumbling.
NOTICE!
Material damage due to wrong placement and wrong voltage
supply

Only place on non-slipping surface.
•
Use only the supplied power supply.
