First Use of the Device / Introduction
• Select a proper place for the device. A dry, level and slip
proof surface is suitable.
• Remove the protective fi lm from the device, if present.
Before First Use
Charge the battery before fi rst use. See details in chapter
"Charge Integrated Battery".
Charge Integrated Battery
The player is powered by the integrated rechargeable lithium
battery. Charge the battery as follows:
1. Flip the rubberized cover (9) open.
2. Connect the Micro B USB plug of the charger cable to
the socket (14) on the system. Connect the USB plug to
a powered­on computer. The indicator lamp fl ashes red
and the battery charges.
3. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator lamp
lights up red.
4. Remove the charger cable from the speaker and PC.
5. Then close the rubberized cover again.
CAUTION:
Never leave the unit unattended when it is charging.
NOTE:
• The battery is only charged while the PC is switched on.
• Do not connect the player for a long period of time to
a laptop computer disconnected from mains power
Otherwise the laptop computer' s battery may be
discharged.
• The charging time varies according to battery use.
• When the battery power is low, a warning signal will
sound intermittently.
• When not using the system for a long period of time,
charge the battery at least every 6 to 12 weeks. Even if
switched off, the battery continues to discharge.
General Operation
Turning the Device On / Off
• Press and hold the /
heard. The device starts in BT mode.
• In order to turn off the device, press and hold the
button again. To save the battery, switch off the speaker
when not in use.
Volume
Press and hold the – button or the + button in order to
adjust the volume as desired.

NOTE:
• When the maximum volume of the loudspeakers is
reached, a beep tone is played shortly.
• The volume on the playback unit must not be set too
low, otherwise static may occur.
Sound Settings
If necessary, change the EQ setting in your playback unit to
create the best sound.
Lighting
During operation, you can illuminate the lower part of the
device. To select the intensity of the light or to turn it off,
press the button repeatedly.
Reset the Device (Resetting)
Any malfunction during operation can be resolved by
pressing the reset button. Press the button (12) with a wire or
similar to reset the electronics.
Powerbank Function
The USB port can be also used to charge mobile devices
(Smartphone or Tablet PC). Follow the operating instructions
of your mobile device.
1. Press and hold the /
heard.
2. Flip the rubberized cover (9) open.
3. Connect the mobile device to the USB port (13). The
indicator lamp (5) lights up red.
Regarding the charging status, please refer to the mobile
device.
NOTE:
• Do not charge the speaker while you recharge a mobile
device.
• To be able to charge a mobile device at the speaker,
fi rst charge the speaker completely.
• A playback of audio­fi les through this connector is not
possible.
Playing Back Music Files
You have three options to play back your own music fi les: via
cable, wireless via Bluetooth or via card slot.
By Cable
1. Switch on the device.
2. Flip the rubberized cover (9) open.
3. Connect the 3.5 mm stereo cable to an external audio
source. If required, use a suitable adapter (not included).
4. Insert the other end of the cable into the AUX­IN jack on
the unit. The device switches automatically to the AUX­IN
mode.
