8. Replacing the Grinding Disc

The sharpener is delivered with two different grinding discs, a thin diamond disc and a thicker sand stone
grinding disc.
It is possible that one of the grinding discs is already installed in the sharpener.
Attention!
Switch off the sharpener before changing a grinding disc and disconnect it from the mains voltage. Pull the
mains plug from the mains socket. If the sharpener has been in operation before, wait until the grinding disc
has stopped completely.
If a used-up grinding disc is to be replaced with a new one, use only genuine spare parts.
• Loosen the three screws of the cover (19) and take off the cover.
• For example, push a screwdriver through the opening (A). For this, turn the grinding disc slightly until the screwdriver
can be pushed through completely.
This clocks the motor axis.
• Use a suitable fork wrench to remove the nut (B). Then the press-on disc (C) and the grinding disc (D) can be
removed.
• Use the sandstone grinding disc to grind the inner tooth area (tooth face) and the outer tooth area (tooth back). The
diamond disc is needed to grind particularly hard teeth (carbide teeth).
• After pushing on the grinding disc, push on the press-on disc (C) and screw on the nut (B). Check that the grinding
disc is seated properly.
• Attach the cover and fasten it with the 3 screws.
• Remove the screwdriver inserted initially completely from the opening (A).
• The sharpener is now ready for use once again.
