5. Replace the filters and seals carefully and re-tighten the hose carefully by hand.
Draining remaining water and cleaning the drain pump filter
Your appliance is equipped with a filtration system that prevents solid matter such as
buttons, coins and fabric fibres from obstructing the drain pump blades when draining
the water.
If your appliance does not drain the water, the filter may be clogged. The water must be
drained manually in order to clean the pump filter.
Furthermore, you may have to drain the water completely in the following cases:
• before transporting the appliance (if moving home, for example),
• if there is a risk of frost.
Caution: The washing machine may contain water at 90°C. As a result, the filter
must only be cleaned after the hot water inside is cooled, in order to prevent any
risk of burns.
