frame in the bumper and the heat shield, if fitted. Fit the gaskets on the
rear bulkhead at the left and right of the chassis, as shown in Figure 7.
Place the supports A in the left and right chassis, as shown in Figures
7a and 7b. Place the small support D on the luggage compartment rear
as shown in Figure 8, and fit four M10 x 35 bolts with lock and spring
washers and nuts. Tighten finger-tight.
3. Fit the ball housing, including socket plate including socket plate, flat
washers and self-locking nuts. Place the towbar on the vehicle. Tighten
all nuts and bolts to the torque shown in the Table. Refit the bumper
and fix with the original fitting material and replace the parts shown in
Figure 1.

the removable ball-hitch system.
NOTE:
* Should this installation process entail the cutting of the bumper – con-
formation MUST be obtained by the installation engineer of the custo-
mer's acceptance prior to completion. Brink Towing Systems do not
accept responsibility for any matters arising as a result of this miscom-
munication.
* All measurements are in mm!
* The dealer should be consulted for possible necessary adjustment(s)
"of the vehicle".
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* Do not drill through electrical-, brake- or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
* This fitting instruction has to be enclosed in the vehicle documents after
fitting the towbar.
* Brink is not liable for damage caused directly or indirectly by incorrect
assembly, including the use of unsuitable tools, the use of other
assembly methods and means than the ones outlined, and the incor-
rect interpretation of these assembly instructions.

MONTAGEANLEITUNG:
1. Die in Fig. 1 angegebenen Teile aus dem Kofferraum entfernen. Die
Sto stange abmontieren. Die Sto stangenbefestigungsschrauben
links im Kofferraum sind in Fig. 2 abgebildet. Die Situation auf der
rechten Seite ist das Spiegelbild davon. Gemä Fig. 3 die Sto dämpfer
von der Sto stange abmontieren. Die Sto dämpfer werden nicht wie-
der eingesetzt. Den Leichtmetallrahmen, das Polystyrol-Füllstück und
- wenn vorhanden - das Hitzeschild gemä Fig. 4 aus der Sto stange
entfernen. Entlang der vorgestanzten Punktlinie (Fig. 5) den Mittelteil
aus dem Leichtmetallrahmen heraussägen.
2. Gemä Fig. 6 entlang der vorgepre ten Linie (eventuell mit Filzstift
nachziehen) einen Teil aus der Sto stangeninnenseite heraussägen.
Dieses Loch wird mit einem Sto stangendeckel abgedeckt. Achtung!
Beim Bohren die Sto stange nicht beschädigen. Die mitgelieferte
Kunststoffverstärkung
beim
Sto stangendeckel anbringen. Den Leichtmetallrahmen und - wenn
vorhanden - auch das Hitzeschild wieder in die Sto stange einsetzen.
Die Dichtungen gemä Fig. 7 beim linken und rechten Fahrgestell an
der Rückwand anbringen.
Die Halterungen A gemä
Fahrgestell anlegen. Gemä Fig. 8 an der Kofferraumseite Halterung
D anlegen und bei den Punkten C vier M10x35-Schrauben inklusive
Unterlegscheiben, Federringen und Muttern halbfest anbringen.
3. Das Kugelgehäuse einschließlich Steckdosenplatte, Unterlegscheiben
und selbstsichernder Muttern montieren. Die Kupplungskugel mit
Halterung am Auto anlegen. Alle Schrauben und Muttern gemä den
Angaben in der Tabelle festdrehen. Die Sto stange mit Hilfe des
Original-Befestigungsmaterials wieder anbringen und die in Fig. 1
angegebenen Teile ebenfalls wieder einsetzen.
