CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Make sure that the appliance is unplugged before carrying out any cleaning jobs.
Cleaning the water container
Drain and clean the water container after each time of use. Use a cleaning detergent to clean the accessory parts (jet nozzle and
circular brushes) when they are dirty, then leave it to dry in the open air.
Decalcification of the water container interior:
In order to remove calcium deposits inside the water container, add one or two table spoonfuls of white vinegar to the water filled
container, put the closing cap on and shake it. DO NOT SWITCH THE STEAM CLEANER ON. Leave the container to stand for several
hours. Afterwards, drain the container, refill it with fresh water and rinse it out until no more deposits can be seen.
WARNING: Never immerse the Livington Prime Steam Mop entirely in water.
Removal of calcium deposits
If your Livington Prime Steam Mop starts to produce steam more slowly than usual or completely stops, a removal of calcium
deposits may be necessary. These deposits form over the course of time on metal components and impair the performance of the
mop to a considerable degree. Calcium deposits should be removed on a regular basis, following the use of approximately 25 to 50
full containers of water or at least once a month. This applies especially in areas with hard water. Cleaning intervals depend on the
hardness grade of the water and the intensity of use of the mop.
Fundamentally, you can use tap water in the Livington Prime Steam Mop. However, in areas with hard water, we recommend the use of
distilled water for a better performance.
To eliminate calcium deposits, please observe the following instructions:
Cleaning with the aid of a cleaning solution::
1. Prepare a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 tap water and add it to the water container.
