Switching the Rotation Direction

The rotation direction changeover switch is used to change the rotation direction of the
device:
– Clockwise rotation: Tightening screws
– Anticlockwise rotation: Undoing screws
1. Take the device in your hand as if you wanted to tighten or undo a screw.
2. Slide the rotation direction changeover switch as far as it will go to the left to switch
on anticlockwise rotation.
3. Slide the rotation direction changeover switch as far as it will go to the right to switch
on clockwise rotation.

CAUTION!
❐ To avoid an accidental start-up, always move the rotation direction changeover
switch to the middle position before you
– insert a screwdriver bit.
– remove a screwdriver bit.
– put the device to one side.
❐ Only place the screwdriver bit onto a screw with the device switched off!
❐ Do not overload the device! Do not attempt to tighten a screw with force in order to
avoid damage to the device and to the screwdriver bits.
1. Check the charge status of the battery each time before you use the device (see the
"Putting into Operation" chapter", "Battery Charge Status" section).
2. Optional: Insert the extension for the screwdriver bits into the bit receptacle (see the
"Putting into Operation" chapter, "Inserting and Changing Screwdriver Bits" section).
3. Select a screwdriver bit and place it into the bit receptacle (see the "Putting into
Operation" chapter, "Inserting and Changing Screwdriver Bits" section).
4. Now set the rotation direction with the aid of the rotation direction changeover switch,
depending on whether you want to tighten or undo a screw (see the "Putting into
Operation" chapter, "Switching the Rotation Direction" section).
5. Place the screwdriver attachment onto the screw and hold down the On / Off switch
until the screw is tightened or removed. As soon as you press the On / Off switch, the
LED lamp on the top of the device lights up to provide you with a better view.
6. Let go of the On / Off switch to switch off the device.
7. Always move the rotation direction changeover switch to the middle position when
you place the device down or put it away.
