Picking off Microphone Voltage or

DC Voltage Proportional to Level

At the output jack (7) the following voltages are
present which can be picked off for a level-
dependent control or for further analysis.
Signals at the connected plug (8):
tip (a) – shaft (c):
microphone signal, impedance 600 Ω; the out-
put level depends on the position of the range
switch (6)
ring (b) – shaft (c):
DC voltage proportional to level 10 mV/dB,
impedance 100 Ω

Replacing Batteries

If the symbol
be replaced:
1) At first switch off the meter with the range
switch (6) – lower position "
2) Unscrew the recessed head screw or the
adapter (9) on the rear side of the meter.
3) Slide the battery compartment cover (lower
rear part of the housing) at the marking down-
wards and remove it.
4) Replace the inserted batteries by four new
1.5 V batteries (size AAA). Observe the cor-
rect polarity (see print in the battery compart-
ment).
5) Screw the battery compartment cover tightly
again.
