5. INSTALLATION
WARNING
The safety device valve P&T (Pressure & Temperature) supplied with the
unit must be installed in order to avoid the unit being damaged under any
unusual condition and thereby creating a danger to people.
The P&T valve must be connected to the unit without any joints being
added between it and the unit.
If metal pipes are used, place a a special dielectric coupling between the
cold water inlet pipe and hot water outlet pipe in the Eco Hot Water to
reduce the corrosive effect of stray currents.
Hydraulic Circuit Connection
• Only use clean piping.
• Cover the end of a pipe when inserting it through a wall, thus avoiding
dust and dirt.
• Use a good sealant to secure connections. Connections must be ade-
quately secured in order to sustain system pressures and temperatures.
Tightening Coupler
From 15 to 30 N.m. (150 to 350) kg f cm.
The condensate drain drains away any condensate produced during
operation of the Eco Hot Water.
Be sure to install the fitting supplied and a pipe that allows the dis-
charge of any water.
The solar integration circuit must be protected from freezing in the
winter period and it is recommended to use an appropriate anti-
freeze solution.

5.7 Air ducts

The connection of the air channelling pipes of must be made in such a
way that they do not obstruct the ventilation unit as the reduction in the
rate of flow or a short-circuiting of the air between outflow and recovery
will reduce performance and efficiency of the unit itself, causing an in-
crease in absorption as well as blocking the appliance as a result of the
increasing pressure from condensate.
The characteristics of the input and output of the air channelling duct
from unit must be adequately sized to ensure a regular nominal flow of
400 m
/h.
3
It is recommended that you connect thermally insulated pipes (min. 25
mm) to prevent the formation of condensate.

5.8 Electricity connection

•I Electrical connections must be carried out by qualified technicians
in accordance with the regulations governing the type of installation
location for the unit.
• Connection must follow an careful inspection of the compatibility of the
electricity supply line and characteristics of the unit.
• The nominal voltage for this product is 230 V - 50 Hz.
• A bipolar, (differential) switch must be placed on the supply line, which
includes at least a 3 mm gap between the contacts in each pole with a
maximum threshold of 30 mA

WARNING
Before performing any work on the unit, ensure that the electricity supply
has been turned off. Never touch electrical components immediately after
disconnecting the power supply, always wait at least 5 minutes.
Connect the Earthing Cable
The earthing cable must not be connected to the piping,
the gas supply, lightening rods or telephone lines; incorrect
earthing can cause electrical discharge and damage to the
unit.
Ensure that you that electricity supply line is protected by a differential
magneto thermal switch.
Use cables which contain contain wires with greater dimensions to those
listed in the table below.

The cable must conform with IEC Norm: (60245 IEC57(H05RN-F)
- Never use the plug as a means of switching on or off the unit: always
use the ON/OFF button located on the control panel of the unit.
Removing the front panel
To access the electrical panel and the refrigeration circuit it is necessary
to remove the front panel as shown below:
1) Remove the two screws in the upper side of the panel (fig 1)
2) Pull up the panel and lift it out of the front guides (fig 2)
3) Disconnect the cable from the control panel.
To reinstall the panel, perform the same procedure in reverse order.
