3. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and even surface at a suffi cient distance to
fl ammable objects. Please ensure that the device is not accessible to children.
4. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed 220 – 240 V socket with earthing contacts.

Use

ATTENTION!
■ Only use the device if it has been properly and correctly assembled to guarantee
proper functioning of the device.
■ Check the device, cable, and mains plug for damages each time before using the
device. Do not use the device if it exhibits visible damages!
■ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.
The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The
mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device.
■ Always turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you in-
sert / remove the frying basket or before you insert the container in the base.
■ Make sure the room is adequate ventilated when the device is in use.
■ Never leave the device unattended when operating in order to prevent damage to
property, the device itself and injury to persons, e.g. caused by fi re.
■ Only use fats and oils, which are suitable for high temperatures, that is, for deep fry-
ing. Do not use cold-pressed oils or butter. Observe the manufacturer's instructions
on the packaging.
■ Risk of injury! Hot air is emitted from the vents on the lid. Be careful when using the
control panel or when you open the lid. Keep your head and hands out of the danger
zone when you open the lid.
■ Always use kitchen gloves when inserting the frying basket in the container or re-
move it to prevent burns.
■ Do not overfi ll the deep fryer with oil / fat, do not fi ll it past the MAX mark!
■ Do not operate the device without or with too little oil / fat. Fill the device at least to
the MIN mark.
■ When preparing frozen foods, slowly and carefully lower the frying basket into the
hot fat so that it doesn't boil over. Maintain adequate distance to the device to pre-
vent burns infl icted by spraying hot fat.
■ Do not mix different types of fat or oil!
■ Only melt hard fat in the container and never in the frying basket!
■ Do not insert foods packed in clingfi lm or plastic bags in the device.
1. Place the device on a solid, stable, and heat resistant base where an easily acces-
sible socket is nearby.
2. Open the lid.
3. Add approximately 0.75 l of oil or 0.6 kg of hard fat to the container. The fl uid portion
of the fat may not be below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark in the container.
4. Close the lid.
