CAPPUCCINO-MAKER CLEANING
To keep the cappuccino maker clean and operating efficiently, perform the following
cleaning procedure. It does not require that the cappuccino maker be dismantled
from the steam tube:
With the programming lever in the OFF position:
1)
position a large pitcher under the cappuccino maker (1);
2)
immerse the milk suction tube (2) in a solution of 500 ml water and a
suitable amount of detergent for cappuccino makers, according to the
manufacturer's instructions;
3)
press and hold the STOP/PROG key (3) for 8 seconds, until the respective
LED begins to flash;
4)
to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts about 30 seconds, press the STOP/
PROG (3) again. The cappuccino maker starts suctioning the detergent
through the tube and dispensing it through the cappuccino maker;
5)
repeat operation 3) and 4) until all of the detergent solution has been
consumed;
6)
to eliminate all detergent residues, immerse the suction tube in 2 litres of
water and perform a series of cleaning cycles, as described in points 3)
and 4), until all of the water has been consumed;
7)
to clean the system thoroughly, turn the lower body of the cappuccino maker
(4) 90° to pos. B (to close the milk outlet conduit);
8)
perform the 30 second cleaning cycle as described in points 3) and 4). Be
careful of the stem exiting the steam tube and the high temperature;
9)
return the lower body (4) to pos. A;
10)
if the air intake hole is blocked (5), clear it gently with a pin.
It is advisable to clean the cappuccino maker after each
use so as to avoid malfunctions and to ensure the hygiene
of the system .
Do not unscrew the cappuccino maker from the steam
tube
.

11. CHECKS and MAINTENANCE

To ensure perfect safety and efficiency of the machine over time, it is necessary to carry out maintenance.
In particular, it is advisable to ask Technical Service to carry out an overall check of the machine at least once a year.
Check the following on a regular basis:
check pump pressure with a pressure gauge which should indicate a pressure of around 8-9 bar. In case of anomalies, contact
Technical Service;
check the boiler pressure also with a pressure gauge, which should indicate about 0.8-1.2 bar. This may also require the as-
sistance of Technical Service.
