Servicing
In order to ensure perfect functioning of the neutralisation unit, the neutralisation box should
be serviced annually. The following spare part sets for the neutralisation box are available from
WOLF:
COB-15/20/29
COB-40
- Undo the connections and pull the neutralisation box out from under the COB.
- Remove the lid.
- If a condensate pump, art. no. 20 71 267 is fitted, remove it from the neutralisation box and
clean the condensate pump in accordance with the instructions.
- Lift the three inserts out of the neutralisation box separately.
- Remove the old activated charcoal bag, pour the granulate into a bucket.
- Clean the dirty areas of the neutralisation box and the three inserts with water. Subsequently,
replace the inserts in the box.
- Rinse the activated charcoal bag with water and put it back into the outer compartment, taking
care that the net and the activated charcoal are spread right into the corners of the compart-
ment. Alternatively the activated charcoal bag can also be replaced completely by a new bag.
- Used granulate can either be washed out thoroughly with water or completely replaced by
new granulate.
- Fill the granulate into the five compartments again, distributing it evenly and topping up
with refill granulate if necessary.
- Reassemble in reverse order.
It is possible to check the function of the neutralisation unit using a pH indicator
(available in chemists and drugstores).
If the pH value is below 6.5 the neutralisation system has to be serviced.

Disposal
Granulate residues and the activated charcoal can be disposed of along with normal domes-
tic waste if the waste is incinerated. If this is not guaranteed, then you should enquire to the
responsible authority (regional administrative body responsible for waste disposal) regarding the
method of disposal.
