Booster Cables

CAUTION
Check the cables for external damage be-
fore use. Only batteries with the same rated
voltage (e.g. 12 V) and similar capacity (e.g.
45 Ah) may be connected. There must be no
contact between the vehicles. Do not bend
over starter batteries (danger of chemical
burns). The discharged battery must not be
disconnected from the respective vehicle
electric system during or for the jump start.
Do not smoke or use open fire near batteries
(danger of explosion)!

The booster cable must be checked
for external damage before use

Switch the vehicle ignition off before con-
necting the booster cables and activate the
parking brakes. Please connect the cables
according to steps 1-4 (picture above). Make
sure that the cables are not in contact with
moving parts of the engine. Start the engine
with the good battery first. Do not use the
cables after cranking continuously for more
than 15 seconds. Wait for about one minute
and try again if the starting does not suc-
ceed. After starting, keep engines running
for about 2-3 minutes. For disconnection
reverse the procedure and start with step 4.
