1.
Select BLC (back-light compensation) with the cursor and then press ENTER.
2.
A submenu opens in which you can set the back-light compensation. For further
information, see Section 9.2.1 Back-light compensation.
3.
Define the Window Weight Setting for the entire range of brightness. If you increase the
"Av" value, the average light value of the picture is used as a reference for the measure of
brightness. If you increase the "Pk" value, the peak light value of the picture is used as
the measure of brightness of the whole picture. Do not make this setting until you have set
the DC setting of an auto-iris lens (if used). Make the setting using the RIGHT/LEFT keys.

4.
Define the maximum and minimum values for automatic gain control, "AGCMAX /
AGCMIN". If the picture is too noisy, reduce the AGCMAX setting. Set the values using the
RIGHT/LEFT keys.
5.
Set the response time (RESPONSE) of the automatic shutter control. The shorter the
response time (0.5sec = 1 to 15sec = 255), the faster the camera reacts to light
changes in the picture. Since this is not always required, e.g.: a bright back-light, such as
car headlamps, which darken the rest of the image, you can set the response time
accordingly via the RIGHT/LEFT keys.
6.
Set a fixed exposure time. The shorter the exposure time, the more the auto-iris shutter
must be opened, and the less the depth of focus of your video pictures. If the exposure
time is too long, stripes can appear with fast-moving objects.
7.
After completing your input, select "RETURN" with the cursor and then press ENTER.
