Maintenance
Ensure to locate the unit vertically after cleaning.
During cleaning, do not damage the interior components. Should any damage occur, call Caterlite
agent or qualified technician. Do not attempt any unauthorized repairs to avoid accidents.
Always use fresh water. If the water is reused many times, mineral substances may adhere to the
surface of the components, thus influence the appliance's performance.
For use, do not place hot appliance in cool water or vice versa. Let it cool down to room temperature
then lower into cool water for use. Otherwise the function and lifetime will be affected.
De-scaling
Why...
Normally tap water contains minerals. When water is heated to a certain temperature,
there will be scales accumulated on the heater or surface of the appliance, which will
affect its performance and contaminate the outlook as well.
When...
We suggest cleaning the machine monthly. Or clean your appliance more often if you
are living in regions with hard water.
How...
1. Fit the appliance to the container. Then fill the container with water up to the MAX
marking on the unit.
2. Plug in the appliance and set the temperature to 80°C.
3. Add appropriate amount of citric acid powder (ratio: 16.5 g powder to 1 Litre
water).
4. Allow the solution to circulate for 20 minutes after 80°C is reached.
Caution: Should the solution splash onto your eyes, rinse immediately
with fresh water and turn to a doctor if needed!
5. Turn off and unplug the appliance.
6. Dispose of the solution properly. Do not use the same solution for a second time. If
the results are not satisfactory, repeat the above operations.
7. Clean the appliance and container with fresh water thoroughly, then dry and store
in a well-ventilated place.
