❐ Scalding hazard! Avoid coming into contact with steam emitted from the kettle. Es-
pecially, keep hands and head away from the spout/lid.
❐ The lid becomes hot during use and stays hot shortly after use. Do not open the lid
during the boiling process and let the device cool down before opening the lid to fi ll
in water again! Only touch the grip on the lid when opening or closing it.
❐ Always make sure that you slowly and carefully pour out boiling water and that you
do not tip the device too abruptly.
❐ Be particularly careful when moving the device that is fi lled with hot water.
❐ Remove the power plug from the socket
– if you are not using the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.
❐ If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but
always on the plug.
❐ Never submerge the device (i.e. the kettle, the base unit, the cable and plug) in wa-
ter or other liquids! Ensure that the device, the cable or the plug do not fall in water
or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water, immediately disconnect the
power supply.
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
