Proper use

❐ The device may only be used for boiling water and not for warming up milk or other
liquids. Do not use the device for making tea or coffee.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed
improper.
❐ Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded
from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Risks of injury

❐ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging. There is a danger
of injury and suffocation!
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with im-
paired physical, sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and/or
knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the
device and have understood the risks associated with operating the device. Children
may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be perfor-
med by children.
❐ Keep children under 8 years of age and animals away from the device and the con-
nection line!
❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children. The mains cord may also
not be accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.
❐ ATTENTION Scalding hazard! Be careful when working with hot steam, water and hot
surfaces. Only take hold of the hot device by the handle. When the device is in use
or shortly afterwards, avoid any contact with the kettle or the lid. The surfaces
become very hot!

Fire hazard

❐ Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to easily fl ammable or easily melting objects (e.g. curtains,
candles etc.

For your health

❐ The appliance can be affl icted by product residues. Clean it thoroughly before fi rst
use and after every use, in order to avoid health impairment. Please read the related
tips in the chapter "Cleaning and care".
❐ Only boil fresh drinking water.
❐ Keep the device clean and clean it on a regular basis.
