ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Always use face or dust mask protection
Only use equipment in perfect condition.
Switch on the tool before contact with material.
Check to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed
from the tool before turning it on.
Never overload the machine. If the speed drops, unload the
machine or switch it off.
Avoid body contact to grounded elements, e.g. pipes, radiators,
stoves and refrigerators to prevent an electrical shock.
Check the tool and power cable for damage before starting
work.
When inserting the power plug ensure that the switch is in the
Off position.
Disconnect the plug if you are not using the tool, or if you are
making alterations to settings.
Always guide the cord backwards away from the tool.
For long work please use an additional support plate(e.g. table,
trestle) to prevent the machine from tilting. Do not allow anyone
else to hold the work place.
Prior to use, assemble the equipment on a steady. Level work
surface.
Check whether the moveable equipment parts are in sound
working order and whether any parts are damaged.
Observe the motor-and saw blade rotation direction.
Replace defective blades immediately. Do not use blades which
are damaged or deformed.
Take care that the selection of the saw blade is suitable for the
material to be cut.
Do not use high speed steel (HSS) blades.
Always wear ear protection and safety goggles during
operation.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment when necessary,
this could include:
-Hearing protection to reduce the risk of induced hearing loss;
-Respiratory protection to reduce the risk of inhalation of
harmful dust;
-Wear gloves when handing saw blades and rough material.
Saw blades shall be carried in a holder whenever practical.
The machine may be used in closed areas only on conjunction
with a suitable vacuum extraction system.
The push-stick or push block should always be stored with the
machine when not in use.
Faults in the machine, including guards or saw blades, should
be rectified as soon as they are discovered.
Use push-sticks or push blocks to feed the work piece past the
saw blade.
Ensure blade guards & riving knife are adjusted correctly before
use.
Rebating or grooving should not be carried out unless suitable
guarding, such as a tunnel guard, is fitted above the saw blade.
Saws should not be used for slotting(stopped groove).
Use only saw blades for which the maximum possible speed is
not less than the maximum spindle speed of the tool and the
material to be cut.
When transporting the machine use only the lifting bars and do
not use guards for handing or transportation.
During transportation the upper part of the saw blade should be
covered; for example by a guard.
Keep your hands, fingers and arms away from the rotating saw
blade.
Never reach behind the fence rail near the saw. Doing so risks
serious injury.
Always cut one work piece at a time only. Work places stacked
on top of each other or placed side by side cannot be secured
properly and may cause the saw blade to jam.
The cutting path must be clear of obstacles at the top and
bottom.
Never cut any work pieces that contain nails or similar foreign
boodles.
Always stand to the side of the saw blade when using the tool.
Before you rectify errors or remove jammed pieces of wood
always switch off the machine and disconnect the plug.
Do not overload the saw.
Protect the blade against shock and impact. Do not exert side
pressure.
WARNING! The blade becomes very
hot during operation. Only handle the
blade once it has cooled down.
Other risks:
If the equipment is used for a purpose
other than that specified in these
instructions the following risks are
possible:
The rotating tool carries the risk of injury
to fingers and hands, use caution.
Injuries through flying parts in the case
of overloading the saw.
Injuries caused by cracked blades or
teeth.
Injuries caused by touching live parts
when electrical components are
exposed or defective.
Damage to hearing after long
continuous work without wearing ear
protection.
Emission of harmful dust particles
during operation without suction.
Risks can be minimized if the operator
observes the "specified conditions of
use" and "safety instruction". Always
keep this manual with the tool.
