Noise/vibration information

Noise emission values determined according to
EN 62841-2-11.
Typically, the A-weighted noise level of the power tool is:
Sound pressure level 81 dB(A); sound power level
92 dB(A). Uncertainty K = 5 dB.
Wear hearing protection!
Vibration total values a
(triax vector sum) and uncertainty K
h
determined according to EN 62841-2-11:
Cutting with the saw blade 2 607 018 012:

a
 = 2.5 m/s
, K = 1.5 m/s
.

The vibration level and noise emission value given in these
instructions have been measured in accordance with a
standardised measuring procedure and may be used to com-
pare power tools. They may also be used for a preliminary
estimation of vibration and noise emissions.
The stated vibration level and noise emission value repres-
ent the main applications of the power tool. However, if the
power tool is used for other applications, with different ap-
plication tools or is poorly maintained, the vibration level
and noise emission value may differ. This may significantly
increase the vibration and noise emissions over the total
working period.
To estimate vibration and noise emissions accurately, the
times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but
not actually being used should also be taken into account.
This may significantly reduce vibration and noise emissions
over the total working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect the oper-
ator from the effects of vibration, such as servicing the
power tool and application tools, keeping their hands warm,
and organising workflows correctly.
Assembly
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Selecting saw blades and saw blade guides
Saw blade guides and saw blades of different lengths can be
used depending on the thickness of the material you want to
cut. You can find an overview at the end of this manual.
Fitting the saw blade guide (see figure A)
Loosen the two screws (6) and remove them.
Position the saw blade guide (2) on the power tool, making
sure that the attachment pins fit into the holes provided on
the saw blade guide.
Secure the saw blade guide (2) to the power tools using the
two screws (6).
Inserting/replacing saw blades (see figure B)
When fitting or changing the saw blade, wear protect-
u
ive gloves. Blades are sharp and can become hot when
used for prolonged periods of time.
Bosch Power Tools
Loosen the knurled screws (9) and remove them together
with the spring lock washers (8) and the cover (7).
Place the pair of saw blades (3) at the bottom of the saw
blade guide (2). Make sure that the elongated slots on the
saw blades fit into the guide pin on the saw blade guide ➊.
Then position the pair of saw blades (3) in the driving pins
➋, making sure that the saw blades sit correctly in the saw
blade guide (2).
Place the cover (7) and the spring lock washers (8) on the
threaded pins on the power tool and secure them with the
knurled screws (9).
Fitting the base plate (see figure C)
Place the saw blade guide (2) in the recess provided on the
base plate (4).
Tighten the screw (10).

Dust/Chip Extraction

Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some
wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one's
health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause allergic
reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or
bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered carci-
nogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment ad-
ditives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing
asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the ma-
terials to be worked.
Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
u
easily ignite.
Operation
Products that are only sold in AUS and NZ: Use a resid-
u
ual current device (RCD) with a nominal residual current
of 30 mA or less.

Starting Operation

Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
u
power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
with 230 V can also be operated with 220 V.
Switching on/off
Make sure that you are able to press the On/Off switch
u
without releasing the handle.
To switch on the power tool, press the on/off switch (1).
To lock the on/off switch (1) down, slide it backwards.
To switch off the power tool, release the on/off switch (1).
If the on/off switch (1) is locked, press the switch first and
then release it.
