• Keep the main unit, charger and cable away from water or other
liquids in order to prevent electrical shocks.
• Never touch the device, the mains cord and the charger with
wet hands when these components are connected to the mains
supply.
• If the device falls in water while connected to the charger, im-
mediately disconnect the power supply. Do not attempt to pull
the device out of the water when it is connected to the mains
supply!
• Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are present in
the air.
• Only use and store the device in enclosed areas. Do not oper-
ate it outdoors, in rooms with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
• In the event of a storm, disconnect the charger from the socket.
• Always pull on the charger itself and never on the cable!
• For your own safety, always check the device for damages prior
to using it. Only use the device if the device, charger, cord, fi lter
and insert do not exhibit any damages!
• Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on or
plugged in to the mains supply.
• Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Also do not re-
place the mains cord yourself. Only have the device, cord and
charger repaired by a qualifi ed workshop. Contact customer
service if necessary. Improper repairs could pose serious risks
for the user.
• Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or has vacuumed
up pointy objects (e.g. glass splinters). Have a professional
check the device.
• In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate
the device.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
• Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly as-
sembled! The waste water tank, fi lter, insert and gaskets
must be in place and may not be damaged! Dirt that pene-
trates the inside of the device could damage the motor.
