Wear safety goggles. Pneumatic tools may disperse chips, dust and other abrasion particles
at high speed which might lead to serious eye injuries. Compressed air is dangerous. The
airflow can cause damages to sensitive body parts like eyes, ears etc.. Objects and dust
dispersed by the airflow can cause injuries.

Wear hearing protection. Long exposure to the operating noise of a pneumatic tool can
cause permanent hearing loss.
■
Wear face mask or respiratory protection. Some materials like adhesives and tar might
contain chemicals whose vapours can cause severe damages when inhaled over a longer
period of time.
■
Wear tight-fit protective clothes. Tools with rotating parts may get caught in hair, clothing,
jewellery and other loose objects which might result in serious injuries.
■ Never wear too loose clothes and/or clothes with straps or loops that might get caught in the
rotating tool elements. Always take off all jewellery, watches, identification marks, bracelets,
necklaces, etc. that might get caught in the tool. Never touch tool parts that are in motion.
Long hair must be tied up or covered.

Pneumatic tools do not belong in children's hands. Unattended pneumatic tools or such
connected to the compressed air can be used by unauthorised persons and cause injuries to
them or to third persons.
■
Do not use the device in hazardous areas. Pneumatic tools can cause sparking that might
lead to ignition of flammable material. Never operate tools near flammable substances such
as gasoline, Naphta or cleaning detergents. Only work in clean, well-ventilated areas where
there is no flammable material. Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide or other bottled gases to
power pneumatic tools.

Never direct pneumatic tools against human beings, animals or yourself. When operating the
tool, keep children and other persons away from the working area.
■ Never let device run unattended. Tool attachments such as chisel etc. could brake off and be
thrown and then hit the operator or other persons present in the working area.

Pneumatic tools must not come in contact with power sources.
■ Please pay attention to the operational pressure. Check for the max. compressed air pres-
sure in the corresponding operation manuals or the operational instructions. Exceeding the
permissible maximum pressure of tools and accessories can cause explosions and result in
serious injuries. The maximum pressure of the compressed air has to be equal to or below
the admissible pressure load indications of the pneumatic tool.

Check hose connection for tightness. Do not use damaged, worn or low-quality compressed
air hoses or fittings. Loose compressed air hoses under pressure might beat persons around
and cause serious injury.

Only disconnect pneumatic tools when not under pressure. Disconnected compressed air
hoses under pressure might beat persons around and cause serious injury..
■
Only use dry and clean air. Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide or other bottled gases to
power pneumatic tools.
■ Only use spare parts, fittings and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
■
Never carry the tool around by using the compressed air hose to hold it.
■
Never carry the tool connected to compressed air with the finger at the actuating lever.
■ Avoid unintentional operation.
■
Keep handles always dry, clean, oil- and grease-free.
■
Pay attention to have a clean, well-ventilated and always well lit work area.
■
Never use the tool under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
