DETECTION DES DOCUMENTS OFFICIELS
- Carte nationale d'identité :
Avec la lampe UV, de nombreux éléments lumineux apparaissent
(notamment au verso : une lune, une tête de Marianne, un trait
transversal bleu-blanc-rouge).
Avec la lampe blanche, des têtes de Marianne apparaissent dans la
partie verte de la carte.
- Passeport :
Avec la lampe UV les 1ère pages (photographie) laissent apparaître
des signes RF entremêlés. Le centre de toutes les pages est numé-
roté et le fi l de reliure du passeport ressort en blanc ou rose.
Avec la lampe blanche, on voit une tête de Marianne sur toutes les
pages.
- Permis de conduire :
Avec la lampe UV, sur les permis récents, un numéro ainsi que des
couronnes apparaissent sur la 1ère page. Le permis ouvert permet
de voir un trait bleu-blanc-rouge qui traverse les 3 volets plus des
couronnes comme sur la 1ère page.
Avec la lampe blanche, on voit distinctement des têtes de Marianne
et le sigle République Française.
- Carte grise :
Avec la lampe, le sigle RF apparaît ainsi qu'une bande bleu-blanc-
rouge sur toute la hauteur du document. Toutes les impressions
grises d'origine ressortent en vert.
Avec la lampe blanche, on voit des têtes de Marianne et le sigle RF
- Ticket Restaurant :
Avec la lampe UV, on voit ressortir la couleur rouge au verso des
tickets
- Carte de crédit :
Avec la lampe UV, on voit apparaître une colombe rose/rouge ou le
sigle CB que les Cartes Bleues Visa, le sigle AMEX que les cartes
American Express, le sigle MC sur les cartes Master Card.

Prolonged exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures can cause permanent
damage to your detector's internal components.
- Avoid covering the detector with blankets, rags, clothes or plastics.
The detector may overheat, which may distort the machine or cause a fi re.
If liquid or foreign objects enter your detector, immediately disconnect the
power source and then contact SAFETOOL service center.

center or an agreed professional.
Correct Disposal of this Product (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment)

This marking on the product, or literature, indicates that the product should not be
disposed of with other household waste at the end of their working life. To prevent
possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste
disposal, please separate these items from other types of waste and recycle them

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ENGLISH
Power supply :
220V/230V alternating
Power on :
Plug the power cable into wall outlet and select «ON» position for
the switch located at the back of the appliance.
The switch located on the front has three positions : UV lamp / off /
white lamp depending of selected option.
LAMPS REPLACEMENT
Caution : switch off and unplug the appliance before any mainte-
nance
UV lamp :
Remove 3 screws located under the appliance at the front.
Separate the 2 parts. Unscrew the fi xture holding the UV lamp.
Pull out the UV lamp and replace it with a new one of identical type.
Re-assemble the appliance executing the described steps in re-
verse order carefully fi tting together the 2 parts correctly.
White lamp :
Proceed as discribed for the UV lamp.
CURRENCY CHECK
Using the UV lamp :
Colored spangles become visible on the note.
The color of the EU fl ag changes.
On the other side of the note, the color of the EU map and monu-
ment changes.
Using the white lamp :
The watermark becomes apparent, clear end sharp, in the same
shade than the note.
The value fi gures beside the EU fl ag are 100% visible and must
match exactly on both sides.
The value of the note can be read on the vertical metal thread in the
middle of the note.
