Rain Check
Automatic Rain Shut-off Device
Rain Bird's Rain Check automatically turns off
sprinklers when water in the device's collector pan
reaches a defined level set by the contractor or
home owner. When the water evaporates below
this threshold, the irrigation controller operates in
accordance with its established watering schedule.
The Rain Check can be used with any 24 VAC
irrigation controller.

NOTE: The collector pan dries out as fast
or faster than soil.
CAUTION: DO NOT use this device if your
system has direct-acting (non-flow) pump
start relays.
1. Rain collector pan
2. Fuse, 3 AMP (located inside top cover)
3. Wire connecting screws
4. Adjustable mounting base
5. Top cover removal screw
6. Rainfall adjustment slide
7. Sensors
1. Install the Rain Check in a location where
it can collect natural precipitation without
interference from man-made or natural
obstructions. Place the device at a height
that deters vandalism.
2. DO NOT install the Rain Check where the
collector pan's ability to collect and record
natural precipitation events are affected by
sprinklers, rain gutters, trees, etc.
3. DO NOT install the Rain Check where it
could accumulate debris from trees.
4. DO NOT install the Rain Check in a
location exposed to high winds.
