USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNAL VENTURI FILTER 3000
The Internal Venturi Filter is an ideal, trouble-free filter system for your pond. It has
several advantages over other systems. The capacity of the active components, and
hence the filter's purifying capability, is greater than in common filter types. The
biological function is very effective. The filter with built in pump, aeration hose and
floater can be simply connected. It is equipped with all necessary filter materials.
GENERAL
The Internal Venturi filters and aerates the pond water simultaneously. With the
help of the floater the built in pond pump sucks in oxygen from the water surface. In
this way the filtration process is effectively supported by a constant supply of oxygen.
As the air bubbles are floating from the filter, the pond water will be kept oxygen rich.
The Internal Venturi Filter cleans the pond water in two stages.
l The first stage is mechanical. The visible dirt particles are removed by filter foam.
l The second stage is biological. The growth of micro-organisms is encouraged
through the use of so-called filtra-sub. These micro-organisms remove organic
components from the pond water.
In both the first and the second stage the activity of the filter material is optimum
owing to the constant supply of oxygen. The result is clear and healthy pond water.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
l Open the filter by pulling the 3 handles outwards and by lifting the cover.
l Fill the filter as shown in the illustration. In the outer rim, under the flaps, the gravel
is put as ballast material in order to keep the filter in stable position on the bottom.
l Use a sufficient length of aeration hose, in order to create an additional margin of
about 50 cm between the cover of the filter and the water surface. Fasten the
floater firmly to the aeration hose and insert the other end in the appropriate
opening in the preliminary filter.
l Take care that the round filter foam is in the right place and finally add the Filtra-
Sub. Now the cover can be closed.
l Place the filter in the pond, at least 50 cm to maximum 120 cm under the water
surface. Place the filter correctly level.
