H) 868 MHz reception test
The weather station should receive and display the outside area data within 5 minutes after
being put into operation. If they aren't displayed within 5 minutes after the basic setting or if
the signal reception in normal display mode is continuously jammed so that the outside area
display only shows "- - -" then please check the following:
1.
The distance of weather station and outside transmitters to sources of interference such as
computer monitors or television sets should be at least 1.5 - meters.
.
Avoid placing the units directly against or in the vicinity of metal doors or window frames.
.
The use of other devices working on the same frequency (868 MHz) such as headphones or
loudspeakers can prevent correct signal transmission.
4.
Reception interference can also be caused by neighbours who operate devices working on
the same frequency (868 MHz).
If the 868 MHz signal is correctly transmitted and received, then the battery cases
of the weather station and outside transmitters should no longer be opened. The
batteries could thereby become disengaged from the contacts and thus bring about
an unwanted reset. If this should nonetheless occur, then all units have to be set
anew to avoid transmission problems (see "Basic setting" above).
The transmission range of the outside transmitter to the weather station in a free
field is about 100 meters. However, this depends on environmental conditions and
possible sources of interference. If reception is not possible despite consideration
of all the factors mentioned above, then all units have to be reset (see "Basic
setting" above).

8. Mounting

Before permanently mounting the brackets, please place all units in the desired
installation or mounting locations and check whether the outside area data are
correctly received. If this is not the case, then in most cases a slight shift of
mounting locations is sufficient for adequate signal reception.
A) Placement of the base station
The weather station can be installed in free-standing fashion or mounted on a wall. Before
mounting on a wall, make sure that the outside temperature values can be correctly received
at the desired mounting location.
In addition, mount all units in locations where they are sufficiently protected against dampness
and rain.
Free-standing installation
With the help of its stand that can be fastened, the station can be installed on any flat surface.
8
Wall mounting
Choose a protected mounting location. Avoid direct rain or
sunlight.
1.
When mounting on a wall, remove the stand from the station
by unfastening.
.
Screw a suitable screw into the wall at the desired mounting
location and let the head stick out about 5 mm from the wall.
.
Hang the station on the screw. Make sure that the unit engages
securely on the screw head before letting go of it.
B) Placement of the outside temperature transmitter
The bracket can be fixed at both ends of the
outside transmitter so that it can be mounted
on any flat surface.
The bracket can be mounted on a wall by
means of two screws provided.
1.
For this, fasten the bracket with the help of
screws and dowels at the desired spot on
a vertical surface.
.
Fasten the outside transmitter into the
bracket.
