3. Operation
1. Set selection of frequency according to application mode by means of selector switch
on the device:
• Switch position A: approx. 7.000 Hz – expels mosquitoes and flees
• Switch position B: approx. 10.000 Hz – expels mice, rats and houseflies
• Switch position C: approx. 12.000 Hz – expels martens and cockroaches
2. Position the device in a socket in such manner that the sound radiation can take place
unhampered in the complete room and is not impeded by curtains, blankets or furnitu-
re. Behind the device a dead angle is always formed where no effectiveness is achieved.
3. Furthermore it can happen (esp. abroad) that individual vermin are not expelled as
they do not belong to the genus which mainly can be found in our region.
4. The durability of the device is at continuous operation (24 Std.) approx. five years.
Then the installed piezo-disc is spent and the frequency can no longer be kept cons-
tantly at a level.
4. Sphere of action
Important: The ultra high sound comes directly from the device. Because of that, do not
place the device behind curtains or furniture. The indicated sphere of action depends on the
corresponding place of installation and refers to a height of the room of 2.40 m. The more
furniture is placed in the room the less the ultra high sound can cover the complete are.
