WARNING!
The articulated arm can transmit electrical current and heat to the patient.
Avoid the contact between the articulated arm and any sources of electrical current or
heat.
ATTENTION!
The fixation of the articulated arm is based on the principle of friction. Changing the
position without loosening the clamping mechanism can cause damage and will shorten
the lifespan of the articulated arm. The articulated arm can be adjusted with little force. If
the central clamping handle (Z) has been fully loosened it has to be turned in the
clockwise direction!

Handling of Arm supports

The patent arm must be secured safely. Use fastening straps to secure the patient's arm safely on the arm
boards.
DANGER!
If the patient's arm is not fixed properly it can come loose and move, which can cause
injuries.
Check secure arm positioning and fixation.

Processing (Cleaning and disinfection)

All products must be cleaned and disinfected prior to each application; this is also required for initial use after
delivery (cleaning and disinfection after removal of the protective packaging). Effective cleaning and disinfection
is an indispensable requirement for a safe application of the products.
You are responsible for the cleanliness of the products. Please pay attention to avoid severe contamination of
the product during application (especially by handling with contaminated gloves) and follow the procedures
below.
Additionally, please observe the legal provisions valid for your country as well as the hygienic instructions of the
doctor´s practice or of the hospital. This applies particularly to the different guidelines regarding the inactivation
of prions (not relevant for the US).

Pre-treatment

Please remove coarse impurities of the products directly after use (within a maximum of 2 hrs). To this end,
wipe all visually contaminated surfaces of the products intensively with disinfection wipes

Please consider that the wipes should be alcohol- and aldehyde-free (otherwise there is a risk of fixation of blood impurities or damage to
the product), possess a fundamentally approved efficiency (for example VAH/DGHM or FDA/EPA approval/clearance/registration or CE
marking), be suitable for disinfecting instruments made of metallic or plastic material and compatible with the products (see chapter
"Material resistance"). Please consider that a disinfectant used in the pre-treatment step is solely for the safety of the staff and cannot
replace the disinfection step later to be performed after cleaning.
