Inspection before starting
Please read the instructions for
use prior to operating the
machine for the first time.
The use of ear protection is
mandatory.
The operator must wear
protective
appropriate to the work he
is doing. We recommend
that this includes both eye
and ear protection
The working area must be
completely cleared, well lit and
all safety hazards removed (no
water or dangerous objects in
the vicinity).
Any persons not involved in the
work should leave the working
area.
It is essential to use genuine
original plates. Plates having a
shape, size or mounting method
which does not suit the machine
must never be used.
The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for loss or damage
resulting from misuse or any
modification,
powering that does not conform
to the manufacturer's original
specifications.
Never move, lift or disconnect
the machine by pulling the
electricity supply cable.

Electrical connection

- ELECTRICAL SAFETY :

Operate this machine only on a
supply equipped with a 30 mA
earthed current-limiting circuit-
breaker. Otherwise, consult our
catalogue for appropriate models.
- The RCCB must be used
correctly, including testing it
regularly. For tools supplied
with an integral RCCB in the
cable or in the mains plug, if
the cable or plug has been
damaged, repairs must be
carried
manufacturer, one of his
agents or by a qualified repair
workshop to avoid any risks
resulting from errors.
- Make sure that the mains
voltage corresponds with that
marked on the manufacturer's
11
plate on the machine.

Guiding the machine
[
6]
VOIR FIG.
An operator using his machine
for
the
first
time
should
familiarize himself with the
operating technique and practice
in a sufficiently large area (at
least 4M x 4M) with a smooth
floor, and free from obstacles to
allow him freedom of movement.
• Fit a brush on the machine. Select the
low speed.
• Adjust the handle to the desired height
(abdomen level) and operate the driving
handle.
• Make sure you are in a stable and
balanced position.
A Forward : Twist to the right
B Left : Lift without twisting
C Reverse : Twist to the left
D Right : Push down without twisting
9
Operation
There are two distinct operations :
Grouting : plate speed 60 RPM
Cleaning : plate speed 120 RPM
Grouting operation (low speed)
• Make a fairly wet grout from cement or
another product, spread it evenly in the
right proportions to suit the size of the
joints to be filled using a rubber scraper,
collect up the excess of this grout and
then powder cement on for the top
surface.
• When this operation is finished go over
the area with the machine fitted with its
grouting plate.
• Work in parallel and perpendicular lines
to force the product into the joints.
• If necessary go over the area once or
twice more, and finish round the edge of
the room going along the walls to make
sure that the grouting is not overlooked
anywhere.
• When this operation is finished the joints
should be completely full and well
pressed down.
Cleaning the surface (high speed)
• Depending on the size of the joint, check
the curing of the product to make sure
that the brush does not dig into the joint.
• Replace the grouting plate with the soft
nylon brush plate (tiles).
• Brush the tiles carefully to remove all
traces of cement.
• Depending on the work to be done, this
machine can be fitted with various
accessories for special applications:
solid steel disc for floating concrete,
brush holder plate for cleaning floors or
pieces of formwork, abrasive discs for
rubbing down, etc.
