2 This is how you install the Snail tape
Before starting to install the Snail tape, please read this installation guide carefully. You will
only have the optimum benefits from your snail fencing when you have installed it properly. It is
particularly important to check all the connections. You can install the Snail tape in any place
where you want to keep snails away from your vegetable garden, lawn, playground, etc.
2.1 Fit connector
A Remove the base plate from the underside of the
connector by pushing it out.
B The black (10m) *high-voltage cable in the packaging must
be used between the energizer and the connector. Cut the
supplied high-voltage cable into 3 equal pieces and cut/
strip approximately 8.5mm from the insulation layer on
each of the 3 wires.
C Insert the high-voltage cables in the available screw
terminals (picture B), that can be pushed simply from the
connector. After you have fitted the high-voltage cable,
put the screw terminals back in the relevant openings of
the connector.
D The Snail tape operates as a so-called plus-min fence,
the function of the connected high-voltage cables is as
follows:
Terminal and wire 1 operate as earthing.
Terminal and wire 2 operate as earthing.
Terminal and wire 3 operate as a power conductor.
E After fitting all the high-voltage cables, position/push the
base plate back into the connector.
