Using the Operating Instructions
The operating instructions must be kept together with the tool at all times.
All users entrusted with operating the tool must have read the operating instructions and strictly observe
the instructions contained therein.
TE Connectivity shall not be liable for damage arising from failure to observe information provided on the
tool or in the operating instructions.
In addition to the operating instructions, the user of the tool shall provide health and safety and
environmental protection notices in accordance with national regulations.

Basic Safety Instructions

The tool has been designed in accordance with the latest technological standards and recognised safety
regulations.
Comply with the power-down procedures specified in the operating instructions whenever you perform
work such as erection, commissioning, setting up, operation, changing application conditions and
operating modes, servicing and maintaining the tool.

Information on the appearance and location of substances subject to RoHS guidelines (Restriction on
Hazardous Substances) can be found at the following website:

Select "Find Compliance Status..." and enter the relevant part numbers.
2.1

Responsibility

The tool must only be operated by trained and authorised personnel. The tool user must clearly define
and monitor the personnel who are responsible for operating, equipping, servicing and maintaining the
tool. All work on the tool must be performed solely by trained specialists.
In the event of unauthorised modifications to the tool the manufacturer or supplier will not be held liable
for resulting damage.
2.2

Tool setup and operating instructions

The tool should only be set up and operated when it is fully functional by personnel who are aware of the
safety and hazard issues involved.
The tool is not designed to cut live cables.
The tool is not designed for working in environments at risk of explosion.
If you think that the tool cannot be operated further without danger, remove it from service.
The tool should only be used for the purpose described in the operating instructions.
The manufacturer or supplier shall not be held liable for damage arising from improper use: the user
alone bears responsibility for this risk.
