4. Operation

4.1 Charging the battery pack
ATTENTION
The battery pack (2) must be charged prior to initial use or after longer periods of nonuse.
– In this case, connect the charging cable (1) with a suitable power unit (not included in
the scope of delivery), and plug it into a plug socket with the mains voltage according to
the specifications on the battery. Only use a power unit according to the specifications
on the battery.
– Connect the connector plug of the charging cable (5) with the connection socket of the
battery pack (3). The blue LED display (7) on the battery pack flashes during the charging
process.
– The battery pack is fully charged when all four LEDs glow continuously (after approx. 35
hours if the battery pack is dead).
– The blue LED display on the battery pack goes out after the battery pack has been dis
connected from the charging device.
– The battery pack should be charged once at least every 6 months to maintain its capacity.
– Do not cover the battery pack with blankets, cushions, or similar during the charging
cycle.
– Only charge the battery pack in a dry environment and at normal room temperature.
4.2 Checking the battery pack charge level
– When the battery is switched on, read the charge level using the blue LED displays and
their labelling.
4.3 Operating the heated cushion
– Slide the charged battery pack (2) with the mini USB socket forward into the integrated
pocket of the heated cushion. Next, insert the connector plug of the heated cushion
connection line (6) into the connection socket of the battery pack (4). The heated cushion
is now ready for operation.
– Pull the heated cushion over the tip of the bicycle saddle from the front so that the tip of
the saddle dips into the pocket provided for this on the underside of the heated cushion.
The battery pack including battery should then hang down over the rear edge of the
bicycle saddle. Next, join together both Velcro strips underneath the tip of the saddle.
Pull the saddle protector
from the front over the tip of
the saddle.
