5. Setting the Protocol and the Camera ID
Before installing the camera, configure the camera ID and the communication protocol using the DIP switches.

Press F4 on the controller and select the same protocol as the one on the camera.

It is recommended to set the terminal resistor of the last camera in the series to ON. The switch is placed on the
alarm and connection board.

There are two sets of DIP switches. Note that the default protocol is
Pelco-D with a baud rate of 2400 bps.

Make sure the camera ID on the DIP switches and the camera ID on the
controller are identical. When controlling more than one camera, it is
recommended to memorize the IDs and the location of each camera.
By changing the DIP switch setting, you can set the binary number for each
camera ID (1 ~ 63, except 0). Default camera ID is 1. Example: Set the
camera ID as 10: 0 + 2 + 0 + 8 + 0.
