For safety reasons, the phone can only be supplied with power as follows:

• using a LAN with PoE (Power over Ethernet) which supports the IEEE 802.3af stan-
dard,
• supply via the HiPath/OpenScape system's connection board.

Care and cleaning instructions

• Never spray liquids onto the telephone since any liquid penetrating the telephone can lead
to malfunctions or destruction of the device.
• Any substances such as alcohol, chemicals, solvents or scouring agents should also be avoi-
ded since these may damage the surface.
• Clean the telephone with a soft cloth moistened with water.
Marks
The device conforms to the EU guideline 1999/5/EG, as attested by the CE mark.
All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the muni-
cipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or
the local authorities.
The correct disposal and separate collection of your old appliance will help prevent po-
tential negative consequences for the environment and human health. It is a precon-
dition for reuse and recycling of used electrical and electronic equipment.
For more detailed information about disposal of your old appliance, please contact
your city office, waste disposal service, the shop where you purchased the product or
your sales representative.
