• In commercial buildings, rules for accident prevention for electrical equipment and appliances
according to the respective professional body must be followed.
• Make absolutely sure that your hands, shoes, clothes, the floor and the power supply unit are
dry.
• Do not connect the power supply unit to a voltage source right after bringing it from the cold into a
warm room. In unfavourable ambient conditions the condensation thus created could destroy the
device. The device must warm up to room temperature before it can be turned on.
• The power supply unit generates heat during operation. Ensure sufficient ventilation for the
device.
• Do not leave the power supply unit and connected loads unsupervised during operation.
• Power supply units are not designed for application to human beings or animals.
• Operation under unfavourable ambient conditions is not allowed. Unfavourable ambient
conditions are:
- Moisture or excessive air humidity
- Dust or flammable gases, vapours or solvents
• If you have any reason to doubt continued safe operation, the device has to be decommissioned
and safely stored away to prevent accidental operation. Reasons for assuming safe operation is
no longer assured are:
- there are visible signs of damage to the unit,
- the unit no longer functions properly,
- the unit was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions or
- it was subjected to considerable loads/stress during transport.

in the operating instructions of connected devices.
