2. Remove the pin (b), nut (a), upper bracket (c) and lower bracket (d).
3. Fix the protector (10) to the clamping shaft (9) with the 3 screws supplied and the Allen key (17).

INSTALLATION OF THE SEMI-AUTOMATIC REEL
1. Remove the pin (a) and insert the Allen key (15) into the opening on the rear side of the cutting blade to
prevent the output shaft (e) from turning.
2. Loosen the nut (b) with the socket spanner (17) by turning it clockwise and then remove the upper bracket
(c) and the blade from the lower bracket (d) (if applicable).
3. Screw the semi-automatic reel (11) onto the output shaft (e) by turning it counter-clockwise.
4. Remove the Allen key (15).
SEMI-AUTOMATIC REEL LOADING
1. Disconnect the brushcutter.
2. Turn the machine upside down with the guard up.
3. Loosen the regulator (a) by turning it clockwise (viewed from above) and remove it.
4. Remove the empty reel (b) and clean the inside of the reel holder by carefully removing all dust and grass
residues.
5. Insert the new bobbin at the base of the bobbin and push the end of the thread (d) through the side holes (c).
6. Place the regulator (a) and secure it by turning it counter-clockwise (viewed from above).
7. Fix the thread length again by pushing the trimmer head adjuster and pulling the ends of the thread to the
desired length.
