1) It is possible to connect up to 4 cameras to the input
jacks CAMERA 1 ... CAMERA 4 (10). The assign-
ment of the camera inputs to the screen quadrants
in quad splitter mode is made according to the
arrangement of the camera selecting buttons (1) at
the front panel.
2) Connect the main monitor to jack MONITOR OUT
(9). A further monitor or a video recorder for record-
ing may be connected to jack ONLY QUAD OUT
(8). Thus, a permanent display or recording of all
camera pictures is possible in the quad splitter oper-
ation (independent of the selected operating mode).
3) Connect the plug of the mains cable (6) to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Operation
Switch on the unit with the POWER switch (5). The
control LED next to the switch lights up to indicate
operation.
5.1 Manual selection and switching of the
cameras
To display one camera only in full screen format on the
monitor, press the corresponding button (1). The switch
(3) must be set to "MANUAL" (left position). The LED
next to the camera selecting button (1) indicates which
camera is being selected.
To switch to another camera picture, press the but-
ton corresponding to the input.
5.2 Quad splitter mode
If the unit is to operate in quad splitter mode, press
the QUAD button (2). The switch (3) must be set to
"MANUAL" (left position). The screen is then divided
into four quadrants and may display up to four camera
pictures simultaneously. If less than four cameras are
connected, the quadrants of the inputs that are not
connected are grey.
By means of the GAIN controls (11) above the
camera inputs, the levels of the connected cameras
can be matched with each other.
5.3 Automatic sequential switching
For the sequential switching mode, set the switch (3)
to "AUTO" (right position). The following picture se-
quence is cycled:

Full screen display of camera 4
The dwell time of the pictures can be continuously
adjusted with the control knob (4) between 1 s (left
stop) and 15 s (right stop).
To hold the current picture, set the switch (3) back to
"MANUAL". If a camera selecting button (1) or the
QUAD button (2) is pressed during automatic sequen-
tial switching, the selected picture is displayed as long
as the button is pressed. After release of the button the
sequence is continued starting from this picture.
