6.1 Remote control

The remote control is operated with a 3 V button
cell (type CR 2025) . If a battery is already inserted
in the remote control, remove the insulating film
(to protect the battery from being discharged) from
the battery holder . After that, the remote control is
ready for operation . When pressing a button on the
remote control, always point the remote control at
the infrared sensor (2) of the monitor . Make sure
that there are no obstacles between the sensor and
the remote control .
If the remote control is not in use for a longer
period of time, always remove the battery as a pre-
caution to prevent damage due to battery leakage .

6.1.1 Inserting / Replacing the battery

1) On the rear of the remote control, there is a
small latch with a groove . Push this latch to the
right and pull out the battery support at the
same time (see imprint on the remote control) .
2) To replace a battery, remove the discharged
battery .
3) Insert the new battery into the support, posi-
tive pole facing up . Push the support into the
remote control .
Never put batteries in the household
waste: To protect the environment; always
take them to a special waste disposal, e . g .
collection container at your retailer .
6.2 Switching on /Standby
The monitor is switched on as soon as it is con-
nected to the power supply: The power LED (3) will
turn green . The video and audio signals of the video
source most recently selected will be reproduced .
To go to standby, press the button
power LED will go out . To switch the monitor on
again, press the button
If the monitor does not receive any video signal
from the source, the name of the source and the
message NO SIGNAL will appear . Without any video
signal, there will also be no audio reproduction of
the source . After 30 seconds without any video sig-
nal, the monitor will go to standby and the power
LED will turn red . The monitor will be switched on
again automatically as soon as it receives a video
signal from the source .
Note: Even on standby, the monitor will consume some
power . To save power when the monitor is not in use for
a longer period of time, disconnect the power supply unit
from the socket so that the monitor and the power supply
unit are completely switched off .

6.3 Indicating information on the
video source
To indicate the source currently selected, press the
button
or the button "Display" . The name of
the source and information on the video format
(e . g . PAL for a source AV or 1080P50 for a source HD)
will appear for a few seconds in the top left corner
of the picture .

6.4 Selecting the video source

Either press the button "Source / " to switch be-
tween the sources:
AV
PC  /   V GA

or press the button for the source (repeatedly):

6.5 Changing video and audio settings
The button "Item" is used to set the picture param-
eters and the volume without having to activate the
OSD menu . The following parameters are available:
VOLUME
CONTRAST
BRIGHTNESS
HUE* (for NTSC only)
SATURATION*
SHARPNESS*
USER  -   R (user-defined – red component)
USER  -     G (user-defined – green component)
USER  -   B (user-defined – blue component)
* not available for video sources for which the OSD menu shows
the page PC
Note: It will only be possible to call up all picture param-
eters available for the corresponding video source when
the corresponding menu items (PICTURE MODE, COLOR TEMP
chapter 6 .9 .1) have been set to USER .

and use the arrow buttons to increase (

Then select the next parameter or press the but-
ton "Menu / OK" to deactivate the bar graph . The
