APOLLO SPACECRAFT
Am 16 Juli 1969 um 9 32 Uhr morgens erfolgte der Start der
gigantischenSaturn V von Cape Canaveral,die bedeutendste Reisein
der Geschichteder Menschheit. Die riesigeSaturn V bestand aus drei
Hauptstufen, war 110 m hoch und wog 3 000 Tonnen Sie konnte
eine Nutzlastvon 50 t befördern und erreichteeine Geschwindigkeit
von 112 km/Sekunde Die 394 000 km ange Reisebis zum Mond
dauerte 72 Stunden Nach Erreicheneiner niedrigen Erdum aufbahn
erhielt die Obere Baugruppe mit der Apollokapsel von der dritten
Stufe der Trägerrakete
Fluggeschwindigkeit zum Mond

Mondumlaufbahn zu gelangen, aber auch für den Schub bei der
Rückkehr zur Erde sorgte

Erdatmosphäre wurde die Kommandokapsel vom Servicemodul

andete an Fallschirmen hängend sicher im Pazifik
