amplifier
module
uses
the
same
connector as the original connector plate:
press the lock and join the 2 connector parts
together.
E. Make sure the lock function is on: you
should hear a "click". Double-check if the
connectors are well joined! If not, bad connections could occur due to vibrations.
F. Put the amplifier module in place and use the original screws to fasten the module.

FUNCTIONS

1. MICROPHONE LEVEL: Used to set the
input level of the microphone input (9).
2. LINE LEVEL: Used to set the input level of
the line input (10) or the MPL-1 audio player
(if installed).
3. LINE INPUT SWITCH (only APL15): used
to switch between the internal MPL-1 audio
player (green LED is on) or the external line
input (10)
4. CLIP LED: is lit when the limiter is working.
You are working on the limits of the
amplifier, please turn the volume a little
down.
5. MPL-1 compartment (only APL15): cover
plate that can be removed to install the
optional MPL-1 audio player. Refer to the
next chapter for more information.
6. FM ANTENNA (only APL15): should be
extracted and oriented in the right position if
you want to use the FM-radio of the optional
MPL-1 player module.
7. TONE CONTROLS: Used to adjust the
treble and bass of the master signal.
8. MASTER LEVEL: Used to set the overall
volume of the amplifier. Always set the
master level to zero when you switch the
cabinet on, after this turn up the volume to
the desired level.
9. MICROPHONE INPUT: This input accepts
both
balanced
and
unbalanced
microphones. You can use both ¼"jack and
male 3pin-XLR connectors.
Attention: To prevent damage to the tweeters of your speaker cabinet, please set the micro input level
(1) to zero before you connect the microphone. Once connected you can turn the level up to the desired
level.
10. LINE INPUT/OUTPUT: This input accepts both balanced and unbalanced line level signals. The output
makes it possible to connect several speaker cabinets to the same line output of a mixer.
11. SPEAKER OUTPUT: you can connect a second "passive" speaker cabinet to this Speakon output.
Connections are +1 and -1.
Attention: This output only supports 8Ω loads!!! Never connect a 4Ω speaker or more than one 8Ω
speaker cabinet to this output! This can damage the amplifier module.
12. POWER SWITCH: Used to switch the internal amplifier on/off. The LED will turn on when the cabinet is
switched on.
13. MAINS INPUT: Mains input with IEC socket and integrated fuse holder, connect the supplied mains
cable here.

INSTALLING THE MPL-1 AUDIO PLAYER
In the APL15 you can install an optional MPL-1 audio pl ayer module. This module can play MP3 and WMA
files from USB or SDHC memories or you can simply listen to the FM-radio with 30 presets. Below we
describe how you can easily install this player:
A. Switch the APL15 off and remove the
mains cable. Remove the 4 screws that
keep the cover plate (5) in place. Keep
the screws!!!
B. After removing the cover plate, you will
find a small cable with connector inside:

out
of
the
compartment.
C. Connect the connector gently to the
input on the back of the MPL-1 player
module.
D. Install
the
MPL-1
gently
in
the
compartment and use the 4 screws (A)
to fasten the audio player in the APL15.
Done!
Just switch on the amplifier and follow the
instructions in the MPL-1 user manual.
