3. Push down and hold the belt tension roller with your
thumb to tighten the drive belt. Tighten the screw for
the belt tension roller.
4. Install the belt guard.
To replace the drive belt
1. Remove the belt guard.
2. Loosen the screw for the belt tension roller.
3. Push up the belt tension roller and remove the
defective drive belt. Install a new drive belt. Make
sure that the belt pulleys are clean and not damaged
before you install a new drive belt.
4. Push down and hold the belt tension roller with your
thumb to tighten the drive belt. Tighten the screw for
the belt tension roller.
5. Install the belt guard.

To do a check of the drive wheel
CAUTION: Wear on the drive wheel can
cause damage to the cutting blade.
1. Examine the drive wheel for wear. The drive wheel is
worn when the edge of the cutting blade touches the
bottom of the groove.
2. Replace the drive wheel if it is necessary.
To replace the drive wheel
1. Push the button to lock the axle.
2. Remove the center screw and remove the washer.
