Gas Connection (Gas models only)

The dryers have an inlet of 1/2". All gas models are prepared to work with propane gas (GLP) or
natural gas (see the information plate for features of apparatus). Pipes whose inner diameter is less
than that required by the machine should not be fitted.
A pressure regulator (for GLP only), a manual valve and a gas filter in front of the machine should
be installed. Make sure that no dirt enters the valve during connection.
The following test should be carried out to check against leaks:
Light the burners. Apply soap and water to the inlet join using a brush. Check whether bubbles are
formed. If so, take the valves apart, clean them and assemble them again. A mild soap should be
used so as not to corrode the unit.
There are also special products available for this purpose.

The machines come ready for the type of gas ordered by the client. If a different type of gas fitting is
needed, at the back of the machine next to the gas valve there is a different nozzle, ready to convert
the machine to the other type of gas supply.

The correct combustion must be checked while the machine is in
operation. Use a pressure gauge that can measure the absolute
gas pressure (on a scale of 0 to 100 mbar). In the gas electro-valve
there are two orifices with screw tops. Turning screw (A) one full
revolution in an anti-clockwise direction and connecting the
pressure gauge, the inlet service pressure can be measured.
Connecting the pressure gauge in orifice (B) the pressure of supply
to burners can be obtained, these should coincide with the
specified in the previous chart.
Taking off the aluminium cover (C) you will find a nylon screw
which regulates the supply pressure to the burner. Tightening this
screw will increase the pressure and so will increase the ratio of
gas to air absorbed.
Do not tighten this nylon screw in excess as it runs the risk of
breaking the inside thread and could cause fuel leaks.
