Usage

Although the grill plates (2, 3) have a non-stick coating, we recommend gently
greasing them before using them for the fi rst time. Do not use cooking spray, as
this can damage the non-stick coating!
1. Connect the device to a correctly installed socket. Make sure that the power cord is
not caught in between the plates. Both the operating light (6) and the heat indicator
light (5) will illuminate. When the heat indicator light goes out, the device has reached
its operating temperature.
2. Open the latch (1) by pressing it against the handle and fl ip open the device.
3. Place the food you want to cook on the bottom plate (2).
4. Close the device and fasten the latch. There should be an audible click as it locks
into place.
Please note: The device should always be able to close without using too much
eff ort. Do not force it open or closed.
5. Keep the device closed for a few minutes.
Please note: The heat indicator light will go out and light up at regular intervals. This
is not a malfunction. To maintain a constant temperature, the device heats up and
stops the heating process at regular intervals. When the heat indicator light is on, the
device is in a heating phase; when it goes out, the heat has been stopped temporarily.
6. Remove the food when it has reached the desired level of cooking and browning.
Only use heat-resistant kitchen tools made from wood or plastic to remove food.
7. After use, disconnect the device from the power supply and let it cool down before
cleaning it.

Cleaning and storage

PLEASE NOTE!
The device is not dishwasher-safe.
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners, cleansing sprays or rough sponges or
knives for cleaning. These can damage the surface.
1. Make sure that the device is completely cooled and disconnected from the power
supply!
2. Carefully remove any crumbs or residue from the grill plates (2, 3). Use a gentle
brush for this if needed.
3. Wipe down the housing and grill plates with a damp cloth. Use a mild cleaning agent
if the device is particularly dirty.
4. Then dry off the device with a soft cloth.
5. Check the power cord regularly for damage. Never wrap the power cord tightly around
the device (danger of cable breakage).
6. Close the device and fasten the latch (1). There should be a noticeable click as it
locks into place.
7. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-free place away from direct sunlight and keep
out of reach of children and animals.
