Operation Instruction

Fill the kettle with the required amount of water (between "Min" and "Max" level),
close the lid, place it on the base and plug in the mains.
o
Press the POWER button, the LED of the POWER button and 100°C will illuminate. If
no other button is pressed within 3s, the kettle will heat the water to 100°C and auto-
shutt off.
o
By pressing the "SET" button within 3s after switching on the appliance, or while heat-
ing the water, the temperature of "40°C", "60°C", "70°C", "80°C" or "90°C" can be
chosen.

Note: If the water temperature is already higher than the the temperature cho-
sen, the kettle will auto-shut off.

To maintain the desired water temperature, the "KEEP WARM" button can be
pressed while heating the water to the temperature set. The "KEEP WARM" LED illu-
minates and starts flashing when the temperature has been reached.

Note: The kettle will occasionally switch on and off to maintain the selected tem-
perature.

Note: The "KEEP WARM" working mode will auto-shut off after 30 min.

The kettle has a memory function. When the kettle is taken from the base and put
back within 90 seconds, the "KEEP WARM" mode is still active.
o
Pressing the POWER button while heating will end the operation and all settings will
be lost.
 DESCALING
o
The kettle should be descaled on a regular basis depending on how hard the water
supply is. To do this, use the special descaling tablets from Rotel. First of all fill the
kettle with around 0.5 litres of warm water and then put in 2-4 tablets depending on
how bad the build of lime-scale is. Never heat up the solution, otherwise it will foam
over. Leave the solution for up to half an hour depending on how bad the build up is.

After descaling, rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water.
 CLEANING AND CARE
Pull out the plug before cleaning. Never immerse the kettle and its base in water.
Rinse the kettle out from time to time. Only wipe the outside of the kettle with a
damp cloth. Do not use any sharp and abrasive cleaning agents.
