NOTE: The 2” version of StepUp is shown in this and subsequent steps. Assembly is identical for the 1-1/4” and Swing versions, except where noted. • Place the inner tray—with the large Yakima logo on the underside—into the spine bracket, oriented with the front wheel cup on the left side of the vehicle.

INSTALL THE OUTER TRAY. • Place the outer tray— identified by the small side logo—into the spine bracket with the front wheel cup positioned on the right side of the vehicle. • Attach the tray to the tray bracket using four M8 x 21 mm screws and four M8 washers, as shown.

INSERT AND SECURE HITCH PIN TOOL - 2” HITCH A. Insert the hitch pin tool through your hitch and the tongue, as shown. B. Install the pin onto the end of the hitchbolt. C. Attach the HitchLock. D. Use a key to lock it. LOADING PREPARE FOR LOADING.

• Load your heaviest bike first on the inner tray. LOAD YOUR BIKE. • Always load the first bike on the inner tray (closest to the vehicle). CAUTION: Do not load bikes with fenders. Fenders need to be removed for proper and safe loading.

SECURE BIKE TO SPINE. For bikes with longer wheelbases, you must secure the wheels to the spine of the rack. A. Wrap the free end of the strap around the wheel tray on one side of the spine. B. Pass the free end through the strap loop to secure it.

UNLOAD YOUR BIKES. • Unlock and stow the bike locking cable securely. • Press the release tab on the wheel strap buckle and release the strap. • While supporting the bike, press the button to raise the front wheel hook, then lower the hook arm.
