The range of the transmitter decreases if the remote control or the receiver has weak batteries (or
rechargeable batteries) and errors may occur in transmitting signals to the receiver. Therefore, the
model may no longer respond properly to the remote control. Stop operating immediately and
replace the batteries with new ones or charge the rechargeable batteries again.
>
Always change the entire set of batteries or rechargeable batteries and not just individual cells.
Always use batteries or rechargeable batteries of the same type and manufacturer.
>
Do not mix batteries of different charge condition. The weaker batteries or rechargeable batteries
with lower capacity could get discharged and leak.
>
Observe correct polarity when inserting batteries or rechargeable batteries in the battery holder.
In case of inversion, not only your model but also the rechargeable battery will be damaged. The-
re is a danger of fire and explosion!
>
If the device is not used for a longer period of time, take out the batteries/rechargeable batteries
inserted in the remote control and in the model to avoid damage from leaking/discharged batte-
ries/rechargeable batteries.
>
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited,damaged, taken apart or thrown
into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
Charging
>
Please follow the separate operating instructions of the battery charger used (not included in
delivery) and the specifications of the battery manufacturer.
>
Only charge rechargeable batteries which are intended for this purpose, conventional batteries
must not be recharged. There is a danger of explosion!
>
Charge only batteries of the same type and capacity. Observe correct polarity in all electrical con-
nections and when connecting the rechargeable batteries to a charger.
>
Recharge the batteries only under supervision, on a flame-resistant surface and keep adequate
distance from combustible surfaces or objects.
>
Check the temperature of the battery occasionally during charging.
NiMH and NiCd batteries can heat up considerably especially at high charge currents (> 1C).
The battery may be damaged on excessive heating (>50°C). In such a case, reduce the charge
current.
>
Already charged or fully discharged batteries should not be connected and charged.
>
Never charge/discharge damaged, expired or deformed rechargeable batteries. There is a danger
of fire and explosion!
