b) Switching rain alarm on/off
Activate the setting mode (see 10. a) and turn the rain alarm on (display on LC display "AL ON")
or off (display "AL OF").
If there is any rain a tone signal is triggered and a rain icon will flash on the display (on the right
next to the time/date display). The tone signal sounds for about 2 minutes, it can be turned off
by briefly pressing any key on the front.

The rain icon on the right next to the time/date display will continue to flash for
some time (up to 30 minutes).
Afterwards the icon disappears until the next time it rains.
When the rain alarm is switched off there will be no signal.
c) Displaying time/date/amount of rain
By pressing the "RAIN SETTING" (A) button briefly several times you can toggle between the
following information:
• time
• date
• total amount of rain (display "RAINFALL TOTAL")
This is the total amount since the device was taken into operation or since a reset (see
chapter 10. d) or the change of batteries.
• Rain amount in the last hour (display "RAINFALL 1H")
The display is calculated and updated about every 10 minutes.
• Rain amount in the last 24 hour (display "RAINFALL 24H")
The display is calculated and updated about every hour.
• Present status of last rainfall (display "RAINFALL"; the rain icon is also shown when it rained
within the last 30 minutes)
The display of the value remains visible, until there was no rain for 30 minutes. Afterwards
the value is automatically set to "0".
